What is BIC?

BIC (Bureau International des Containers) codes are unique identifiers for shipping containers following ISO 6346 standard. Format: AAAU NNNNNN-C

AAAU - Owner code (3 letters + U/J/Z)
NNNNNN - Serial number (6 digits)
C - Check digit (1 digit)
